Radcliffe Gardens is a nursing home offering our residents with more complex health needs, a wide range of trusted services from registered nurses as well as access to the personal and practical support you would expect from residential care.
Our approach to nursing care is to encourage a lifestyle that adapts to your needs changes. When you come to live with us our professional nursing care teams will spend time getting to know you and design a personal plan which will help support and meet your needs.
We respect privacy and dignity and encourage you to be involved with deciding how your nursing care is planned and delivered. We will agree a personal care plan offering support that ranges from the provision of medical aids and dispensing of medication, to laundry and housekeeping services with day to day social activities.
Our home has a dedicated Activities Co-Ordinator who organises and arranges a variety of opportunities for our residents to enjoy daily activities in our home and in the local community.
We work in partnership with the National Association for Providers for Older People (NAPA) and encourage activities that enhance our resident’s lifestyle, health and well-being.
Residents preferred activities, interests and ability are discussed when they move in and an agreed care plan ensures that these requests are fulfilled. Our residents’ suggestions for activities also help shape the planning process.
We organise supervised day trips to leisure facilities and places of interest as well as local events in the home, including themed restaurant evenings, arts and crafts, quizzes and regular entertainers.
At Radcliffe Gardens, our caring and attentive staff work with our residents’ and their loved ones to create a detailed care plan which ensures our residents individual health and care needs are met.
We know how important it is to care for our residents with the dignity and respect they deserve and this is at the heart of what we do at Radcliffe Gardens. Our commitment to advanced Dementia training for our staff has helped the Department of Health pass its goal of 3000 Dignity Champions Nationwide.

Staff at Radcliffe Gardens are dedicated to providing quality care for residents, their carers, relatives and significant others, in addition to service developers in the Local Authority and Primary Care Trusts. We also work with the local Hospice staff who have recommended patients to Radcliffe Gardens who require on-going care for progressive illness.
Radcliffe Gardens is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) who provide detailed reports on the quality of services offered by the home. These inspections often unannounced, are viewed positively by the management team and reflect the quality of care provided. The home consistently meets, and exceeds, the set of standards and current CQC reports are available within the home for residents and relatives to read and judge our quality of care based on an independent assessment.
Dignity and respect for the individual are paramount to staff at Radcliffe Gardens. To demonstrate their commitment to this and in -line with government guidelines, three staff are registered as Dignity Champions within the home. Their purpose is to ensure staff
Monthly residents’ meetings are held, and minuted and residents are actively encouraged to attend and raise any issue relating to the service provided. All team mangers attend to note and address issues raised.
As a demonstration to our commitment to measureable quality, we are currently implementing a Quality Management System based on IS0 9001. However, we are aware that whilst the quality of care can be measured and assessed through reports, residents and relatives tell us Radcliffe Gardens has an immeasurable ethos based on our philosophy of person centred care.
